Best Running Shoe?
This will be my first 5K and I was wondering what type of shoe would be best for my first race?

As the owner of a specialty running store (Fleet Feet Sports) I highly recommend that you be fit for the best shoe FOR YOU. Everyone's biomechanics are different and at a specialty running store we will watch your gait and determine whether you need a neutral shoe, a mid-stability shoe or a motion control shoe. If you over-pronate, you will want a shoe with some medial stability, but if you're an effecient "neutral" runner, a shoe like the wave rider will be appropriate. I have been running on the Mizuno Wave Rider 12 for the past 4 months and they are absolutely amazing. They are extremely light but they still offer plenty of cushioning for the 30+ mile road runner. I am a neutral runner. I hope this helps.
